New Zealand // Day 2: Taupo

It honestly feels like I've been here forever. It's a really strange feeling, It's so like home here, but better in every way. The atmosphere is so laid back and easy, the food is healthier (even though its ridiculously expensive!) the coffee is great, the scenery is amazing and the people are friendlier. The weather was better but it seems I brought the rain with me. We were stuck inside all day yesterday (and probably today) which sucks! Theres so much that I want to do, and I haven't got past the holiday feeling yet, where I feel like I'll be going home in a few days, so I feel like I need to get everything done NOW! I keep having to remind myself that I've got ages yet!
So day 2 was pretty normal really. It was nice to have another chill day so I can adjust to not working and get my head around things. We went to a place called the Spoon + Paddle for brunch and it was amazing! I had Eggs Benedict and it was the best thing I've ever tasted, the eggs were perfect which i was very happy about, gotta have a runny yolk! We spent a bit of time chatting about things back home and catching up which was so nice to be able to talk after a year of texting. After we went to the supermarket Pak'n'Save and got a few bits for the flat, and we pretty much just chilled out and watched movies all day. In the afternoon I got to try out my action cam for the first time because some one brought round there puppy!! He left it with us while he went shopping so we got some awesome puppy cuddles, or rather bites because that pup was a flying ball of teeth! I'm still getting used to the camera so all the pictures are blurred, but the videos came out ok, so will have to have more of a play around.
