Date Night//Red's True Barbecue

The other day T and I had a great day off together in Manchester. T took me to Red's True Barbecue which is the best place on earth. Fact. It took me right back to America and I wish I could of eaten everything. It reminded me of Rock of Ages, which I love, and its all pulled meat, BBQ sauce and Ribs, which I love. So yeah, I pretty much loved everything about it. They were also doing a food photo shoot which really made me want to pick up my camera and get snapping some tasty treats. I had a pulled pork and chicken hoagie and T had the pit burger (my tummy's growling just thinking about it). If your near Manchester I would definitely recommend it and all my American friends, when you visit, I'm taking you there!

Summer Days//In The Park

Today was such a lovely day. The sun was shining and it almost felt like summer again. We spent it swinging in the park and eating good pub grub. I'm loving these days with Max, hes growing up so much its unreal, he's almost one (say what?!) This year has just flown by! These pictures just called to be in black and white. I love colour and usually cant bring myself to put pictures in b&w but there was something nostalgic about these ones, and I've been looking at my nanas old Polaroid pictures from the 50's, so I felt a little inspired. Tomorrow is back to work for the week, it's been great to have two days off in a row and to re-charge.

Adventure//Lake Windemere

The other day I had the lovely pleasure of going to Windemere for some friends Hag/Sten do! It was so lovely and such a beautiful day. We spent the day kayaking and bbqing on the beach, and it was just the best day. I love Windemere. It's one of my all time favourite places to visit, the lake is just stunning on a lovely day and even more amazing at night time. I wish I could get there more often, it'll be the first place I head to when I can drive! It's also made me want to get a Go Pro camera, because being out on the lake and not being able to take picture of the amazing view just about killed me.

Today has been a super lazy day. It's been a crazy busy few weeks, so some down time was much needed. I've almost finished my True Blood marathon which I'm kinda bummed about (no more Eric!) but I've loved it, its an awesome series! What TV series do you love to watch? I need a new obsession!

Baking//Snickerdoodle

Hello everyone! It seems like every time I write here, its to say that I'm still here and I haven't disappeared into thin air. It's been super had to find time, or even be motivated to blog at the moment, which is a real shame because I've not been documenting much of whats been going on. So I'm trying to set some time apart for blogging at least once a week, hopefully more. I've been sorting out my photos tonight, so hopefully I can get some posts together, but to be honest my head is all over the place lately. Me and T will be house sitting for my friend in October for a few months so hopefully we both can chillax and I can get back into a routine again.

Next week I start my photography night course which I'm really excited about! I've been wanting to get better and more 'professional' with my camera and I noticed my local college did night courses and I signed up that day. I was feeling very spontaneous but I'm so excited, so definitely the right thing to do. I've really because interested in food photography and outdoor/landscape stuff too, so I cant wait to make some yummy things to eat and go trekking through the woods. Speaking of yummy things to eat, one of the many things I've been craving since coming back from the States was snickerdoodles. So on Sunday me and mum made some and it was glorious. We ate them all. I'm not even going to lie and say we shared them with friends. We ate the whole lot, and I would do it again! They were super easy to make too so I think they are definitely going to be my go-to cookie this winter. Now I just have to satisfy my other cravings of Mac 'n' Cheese, Grilled Cheese, Cheese Curds and Dunkin' Doughnuts. I still love my Minty Monty, having a bike has really made this summer awesome. Its been great to just be able to ride around in the sun, and its made getting to work much easier too. I hope the weather stays nice for a little while longer because I'm not really looking forward to riding around in the snow...and also I want to wear these awesome leggings a little while longer too!!
