Well hello America!
I'm here! I can't believe it, it is so unreal. The plane ride was ace, which was never something I thought I'd say! I was sat next to the most lovely person on the plane who really took my mind of things. She was a real godsend, because I'd been stressing about the flight so much! Turns out she was on the same sort of trip as me, except in Florida. It was actually quite sad to say bye when we had to part ways for our connecting flights. I don't think I'd of been able to find my way around without her, I really had no clue where I was going haha!I had about 4 hours between flights and Chicago O'Hare is massive so I went to find the gate I was leaving from so I knew where I had to go. I tried to FaceTime back home but the wifi was awful and it wouldn't connect, I was getting so frustrated because I couldn't tell people I had landed safely, and I'm the kind of person who cried when I get annoyed. There were almost tears and a smashed phone, but we got there in the end haha! I was determined when I left to try things that you can't get in England but I had to have a Starbucks, so my first purchase was Starbucks, and it made me feel so much better!I The connecting flight was horrible, it was tiny and rickety and the turbulence was not good. I hate flying in the dark, until you get low down and you can see all the lights, but I hate looking out the window and there just being pitch black below you. Nothing went wrong though, touchdown was at around 6:35(ish) and Marsee was there waiting for me! It was so awesome to finally meet her after all these years. I'm still in a state of shock, It just so weird to drive round a different country and see all the things that iv only seen on TV haha! On the way home we stopped of at Chick-Fil-A for some food. I was starving after my flight so I pretty much inhaled it, it was pretty good. We don't have that in England so it was my first taste of something 'new'. I was so beat when we got back home. I stayed up to say hi to the family but I just had to get to sleep. I can't wait to get out and explore this week :)
