This week I read Torn by Cat Clarke. I have already read Entangled (which you can see my review here) and I loved it, so I was really excited to read Torn. Again it wasn't what I was expecting at all! It's completely different to Entangled and at first I wasn't too sure about it. I like how Entangled was a bit different without being a Fantasy. I'm not saying Torn is a fantasy, it's not. It's a 'normal' everyday teen book. Not that anything normal happens in it (That doesn't even make sense!) It's such an intense ride, and it really had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I had to know what happened and what became of the characters. There are strong emotions throughout and for a teen book the plot is a little on the dark side, but that's what we like, gritty darkness! There are a few twists and turns, which I can usually suss out, but there are a few that caught me by surprise, which is always a bonus. If you liked Entangled, you will no doubt like Torn. Clarke's writing is just as good and she really shines with these plot lines that are difficult subjects to swallow. I have to say that Entangled is better but definitely give Torn a go.
This week I'm reading Across The Universe by Beth Revis. Hopefully i'll finish it soon and I'll get back to you on it some time next week, but so far so good! And also I'm 9 books into my 100 for 2012. That's 4 book's under target so I best get cracking!!
p.s Sorry for this incoherent review. It's late and if I don't do it now I'll forget. Sorry!
